Emily Avery holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Ottawa and Algonquin College (through a collaborative program) and a Master of Public Health with a specialization in Nursing from Lakehead University. Her keen interest in the emergency management component of public health became the focus of her final master’s internship, which explored the impacts that emergency disasters and mental health issues have on public health. After completing her degrees, Emily worked in various hospitals and public health settings, both as a registered nurse and a public health nurse.
At The Loomex Group, Emily is the Director of Wellness and Corporate Services. In this role, Emily oversees the company’s health and wellness initiatives and performs various human resources functions. Emily also manages the company’s Quality Assurance department, providing report analysis and quality assurance reviews. Combining her aptitude for report writing and strategic analysis with her knowledge of public health, Emily provides an informed voice to the myriad of projects undertaken by The Loomex Group. Emily’s contributions are a critical part of what enables projects across the company’s multiple divisions to achieve impressive levels of success.
